[U.S. ABROAD] Carlos Bocanegra started for Rennes in its 2-0 win over third division Rodez in the quarterfinals of the French Cup. Freddy Adu did not play in Monaco's 2-0 loss at Grenoble.

Rennes, which got goals from Stephane Mbia and Jimmy Briand, is one of three First Division clubs left in the French Cup along with Toulouse and Grenoble. Second division Guingamp is also entered in Sunday's semifinal draw.

The semifinals will be played on April 21-22; the final will be May 9 at the Stade de France.
