[BRAZIL] 2002 World Cup champ Ronaldo, who was out for nearly a year with a knee injury, continues to perform well for Brazilian club Corinthians, for which he scored twice in a 2-2 tie with Ponte Preta in the Paulista championship on Wednesday.

It was Ronaldo's fifth appearance and his first complete game since his return. Ronaldo scored his first from the penalty spot and neatly finished after adeptly collecting a cross for his second goal of the game and his fourth since the comeback.

Corinthians is in second place and headed for a semifinal spot.
