Of the 14 teams still alive in the Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup's lower age groups after Friday action, 12 are American.

The lone foreign teams to advance Friday in knockout action were Mexico's Monterrey in the U-17 age group and Canada's Ajax Gunners in the U-16 division.

The 12 American teams consist of eight teams from California, three from Texas and one from Illinois.
