Former U.S. national team coach Bora Milutinovic has officially taken over as the head coach of the Iraqi national soccer team.
Milutinovic signed his contract during a ceremony in Baghdad on Thursday, saying the lingering violence in Iraq did not deter him from accepting the post.
Milutinovic has led five different teams to World Cup tournaments -- Mexico, Costa Rica, Nigeria and China as well as the United States. He last coached Jamaica but was let go in 2007 in a contract dispute.
