After threatening in the first half, RSL poured in six goals in the second, including Clint Mathis' stunning volley into the top corner. The team also produced its first shutout of the season, limiting the Revs to a single shot on goal in each half.
"Almost everything that happened tonight was flawless for our team," RSL coach Jason Kreis said. "It just doesn't happen enough. We've been involved in so many games where you play so well and you feel so proud of what's out there and don't get the result."
