In Mexico, left back Edgar Castillo started again for Santos Laguna, which fell, 1-0, to Pachuca. There's one game left in the Clausura 2007 and Santos will be relegated if Queretaro wins its final game. Santos, for which Castillo has appeared in 13 of 16 games, is 11th in the overall standings in the 18-team league, but relegation is determined by a team's record over a three-year period.

In Denmark, Danny Califf and Aalborg helped their quest for a UEFA Cup spot with a 2-0 win over Viborg, which was without injured Robbie Russell. Heath Pearce and Nordsjaelland ended a three-game winless streak with a 2-1 win over Odense.
