Brad Davis Sets Up Dynamo Rise

Houston Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear rarely throws around praise for any individual players in his starting XI. But Saturday night at Robertson Stadium, after the Dynamo pounded San Jose 3-1 to pull within one point of Seattle in the Western Conference standings, Kinnear heaped praise on longtime Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis.

Davis's precise passing on two set pieces forced the Earthquakes to play catch-up for the rest of the match. "Brad's delivery, not just on the two goals, all game long, was excellent," Kinnear said. "His delivery [Saturday] was spot on every single time."

Davis is off to his best start since 2005 and has a goal and six assists in nine matches this season. The 27-year-old midfielder has assists in five consecutive games.
