[USL-1] Rarer than a first-minute goal is a first-minute red card, but the Austin Aztex recovered from the quick dismissal of Michael Callahan for a late tackle on a Charleston player and earned a 1-1 tie with the undefeated Battery on Sunday.

A week after he had an assist in his USL-1 debut, Jeff Harwell, a call-up from the Aztex's U-23 team, scored the tying goal for Austin on a volley with 15 minutes left in the game.

"It was a really good finish," Austin coach Adrian Heath said. "Jeff's really given us a spark the last couple of games."
