The U.S. under-17 women's national team, in the early stages of its preparations for qualifying for the 2010 world championship in Trinidad & Tobago, began a week-long training camp on Thursday in Pearl River, N.Y.

U.S. coach Kazbek Tambi called in 20 players, including the lone holdover from the USA's 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup runner-up team, midfielder Morgan Brian of Region III U-16 champion Ponte Verda Storm.

U.S. U-17 Roster:
GOALKEEPERS: Bryane Heaberlin (Clearwater Chargers), Abby Smith (Dallas Texans)
DEFENDERS: Olivia Brannon (Michigan Jags), Abby Dahlkemper (MVLA Avalanche), Laura Liedle (San Diego Surf), Rachel Price (Space Coast United), Cari Roccaro (Albertson SC),  Taylor Schneider (Dallas Texans)
MIDFIELDERS: Morgan Brian (Ponte Verda Storm), Kaysie Clark (KC Select Scream), Miranda Freeman (Team Boca), Ashley Spivey (Baltimore Bays), Kate Speidel (Real So Cal), Kaili Torres (PVSA), Quynh Truong (Solar SC), Clarissa Wedemeyer (Dallas Texans)
