Charlie Davies appears to headed to French club Sochaux if it can reach an agreement with the young U.S. striker's Swedish club, Hammarby.

Sochaux is looking for a striker to replace Frenchman Mevlut Erding, who plays internationally for Turkey.

"The player has agreed [to the move]," Sochaux president Alexandre Lacombe told L'Est Républicain. "It's necessary now to see with the club."

The former Boston College star has drawn interest from clubs for his success with Hammarby (21 goals in 56 games) and the U.S. national team (goals at the Confederations Cup and Gold Cup).
