CUAUHTEMOC BLANCO. The Mexican star came off the bench and set up a Patrick Nyarko goal before scoring a beauty of his own - with a delicate chip -- for a 2-0 Chicago Fire win over San Jose in front of 14,228 fans at Toyota Park. VIDEO 

18. Defending champ Columbus Crew extended its home undefeated streak to 18 games -- and is now a game away from the league record - thanks to a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake a goal by Steven Lenhart and two strikes by Jason Garey in front of 12,922 fans.

SHALRIE JOSEPH. The New England midfielder returned from injury and sparked a 2-0 win over Chivas USA by helping set up goals by Kheli Dube and Steve Ralston. It was the Revs' first win since June 7.
