Anderson, 75, had a long record of involvement in soccer dating back to his arrival from Scotland in the mid-1960s. He founded the West Valley Youth Soccer League and served as an administrator and coach.
According to the San Jose Mercury-News, Anderson is scheduled to enter a plea in the case Monday.
"Our organization is saddened that this incident occurred," FC Gold Pride General Manager Ilisa Kessler told the Mercury-News. "We work hard to provide a fun and safe environment for all of our fans. This was an isolated incident and I am pleased with the immediate and thorough response by our security."
