[MLS] The New York Red Bulls, MLS's worst team with only two wins, got reinforcement in 25-year-old Argentine defender Walter Garcia, who arrives from Argentine second division club Quilmes.

"We have been interested in bringing Walter into the club since the beginning of the year," said Red Bull sporting director Jeff Agoos. "We're excited to have him on board and will use the remainder of the season to evaluate him."

Garcia, who also had stints with Argentino Juniors, San Lorenzo Almagro, Russia's FC Rubin Kazan in Russia and Italy's Catania, represented Argentina at the 2003 U-20 FIFA World Cup
