Uruguay takes measures to fill stadium

[WORLD CUP QUALIFYING] After seeing its chances to reach South Africa 2010 take a hit with last weekend's 1-0 loss at Peru, Uruguay is offering two tickets for the price of one to its home game on Wednesday against Colombia in the 60,000-capacity Centenario stadium.

"We're going to try to convince people [to come] ... In these difficult times we have to all be together," Uruguayan federation president Sebastian Bauza said.

Uruguay has slipped to seventh place. The top four finishers qualify automatically for the finals; the fifth-place finisher (currently Colombia) faces Concacaf's fourth-place finisher in a two-leg playoff.
