Midfielder Clint Dempsey, who missed the final two World Cup 2010 qualifiers with a sprained right shoulder, was back in action Monday for Fulham, which beat Hull City, 2-0, to climb four places to 12th in the English Premier League.

U.S. teammate Jozy Altidore came on the 69th minute for Hull, making his first appearance for the Tigers in more than three weeks.

Fulham won on goals by Bobby Zamora and Diomansy Kamara. The loss left Hull in 18th in the 20-team EPL.

Also on Monday, U.S. midfielder Benny Feilhaber started for AGF in its 1-0 loss at Sonderjyske in Denmark.
