Coach Cummins Out At Toronto FC

After Toronto FC failed to make the playoffs, the team has dismissed interim head coach Chris Cummins. Toronto finished with a 10-11-9 record. Cummins, who took over in the second month of the season for John Carver, oversaw an 8-9-7 record in 24 matches. TFC's director of soccer Mo Johnston says the team hopes to have a new coach in place by the start of the preseason in February.

TFC has yet to reach the playoffs in its three-year history.  Johnston was head coach in the inaugural 2007 season and compiled a 6-17-7 record, the team's worst. Carver guided the team to a 9-13-8 record in 2008. Read the original story...
