O'Sullivan compiled a mark of 148-118-35 at VCU, leading the Rams to three straight regular-season titles in the Colonial Athletic Association in 2002-04. VCU was one of five schools to be a national seed in the NCAA Tournament in each of those seasons.
In 2004, they went 12-5-3 and reached the Elite Eight, where they fell to UC Santa Barbara.
Prior to coming to VCU, O'Sullivan spent 12 seasons at nearby Richmond, where he registered a 115-108-25 mark.
In 25 years of head coaching at the Division I level, O'Sullivan holds a record of 263-226-60.
