Top-ranked Fort Lewis escapes upset

[NCAA DIVISION II MEN] No. 1 Fort Lewis is only team ranked in the top five to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Men's Tournament.

No. 2 Drury, No. 3 West Texas A&M, No. 4 Millersville and No. 5 Rollins all fell in the first two rounds.

Freezing rain made the playing conditions in Durango in difficult, but the Skyhawks advanced with wins over Colorado Mines 3-0 and West Texas A&M 3-1.

Tom Settle had a goal and two assists against Mines, while Jeff Jennings and  Thomas Hoang each had a goal and assist against West Texas A&M.
