Union County won its first ever NJCAA championship in men's soccer when it defeated Richland, 1-0, on Kemar Richard's goal.
Richards joined fellow Owls Patrick Osei-Frimpong and Michael Oppong on the all-tournament, while goalkeeper Shelson Dorlenus was named the tournament's MVP after recording 34 saves and allowing just one goal in the two victories.
Richland won its third women's national championship in six years with a 2-1 win over Montgomery-Rockville thanks to goals by Chelsea Palmer and Kaylyn Settle.
Palmer was awarded Offensive MVP honors for the tournament while Letty Adame won the Defensive MVP.
