Yavapai ousted in quarterfinals

[NJCAA DIVISION I MEN] Two-time defending champion Yavapai fell to Louisburg, 3-1, in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I men's championship Thursday at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey.

Yavapai took the lead early in the first half on David Malloy's 23rd goal of the season, but Josiah Trower equalized in the 21st minute, and Louisburg dominated the second half.

The Hurricanes won on goals by Englishman Josh Mulvaney and Bermudan Beshan Lewis.

Top-seed Tyler got two goals from Dom Dwyer in its 5-1 win over Iowa Central.
