[WORLD CUP 2018/2022] The Concacaf executive committee voiced its unanimous support for the U.S. bid to host the World Cup in either 2018 or 2022.

U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati, a member of the Concacaf executive committee, presented in a video and slide show to the panel, outlining the major aspects of the bid.

"The United States can count on the full support of CONCACAF, including [fellow FIFA executive committee members] Chuck Blazer, Rafael Salgueiro and myself," CONCACAF President Jack Warner said.

Warner is seen as one of the most influential powerbrokers in the 2018/2022 bid process. He is surely one of the most outspoken, criticizing England's bid and praising Australia's campaign in recent weeks.

The 24-member FIFA executive committee will decide the venues for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup in December 2010.
