Champion Real Salt Lake was the only team to claim a player in Wednesdays MLS waiver draft, picking up  Houston Dynamo forward Abe Thompson.

Thompson split time with both the Kansas City Wizards and Houston Dynamoin 2009. The former Maryland star has notched 15 goals and 12 assists in his 89 regular season appearances.
