Flamengo, Brazil's most popular club, won its first league title since 1992 when it clinched with a 2-1 win last Sunday over Gremio thanks to a gamewinner from Ronaldo Angelim. It marks Flamengo's sixth league title but first in 17 years. Flamengo finished with 67 points, Internacional finished second on 65. Sao Paulo was third, also with 65 points, and Cruzeiro fourth to grab the last spot in next year's Copa Libertadores.
