[COSTA RICA]After Leonel Alvarez, winner of the Colombian title with Deportivo Independiente de Medellin, another former MLS player, Mauricio Wright, is enjoying success abroad as a coach. Wright led Brujas to Costa Rica's Torneo Invierno title on Monday, the club's first championship since being formed five years ago.

Wright played for the San Jose Clash and New England Revolution in MLS and later spent time at clubs in Greece and China.

After retiring as a player in 2007, Wright joined Brujas as head coach.

It won the 2009 Invierno on penalty kicks over Puntarenas, 5-4, after the second leg of the final ended in a 1-1 tie.
