Colombian league midfielder Javier Florez, who was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to three years probation after confessing to killing a heckling fan in July, has returned to the field for Atletico Junior. He played 75 minutes in a reserve game on Tuesday.

After an Atletico Junior loss on July 5, Florez, who admitted being drunk, said heckling fans challenged him to a fight. Florez acknowledged pulling a gun on the fans and said one of the fans tried to take the gun away and it went off several times. He said he did not intend to kill anyone.
