[AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS]Ghana has made up for what it lacks in big-name players with efficiency at the Africa Cup of Nations. For second game in a row, the Black Stars got a lone goal, scored by Asamoah Gyan, and defeated Nigeria, 1-0, to advance to the final for the first time in 18 years.

Ghana entered the tournament without stars Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and John Paintsil and lost Chelsea's Michael Essienafter only one game.

Gyan scored in the 21st minute on a header off a Kwadwo Asamoah corner at the near post.
