Egypt became the first team to win the Africa Cup of Nations three times in a row when it beat Ghana, 1-0, in Sunday's final.
Substitute Mohamed Gedo scored the only goal in the 85th minute.
The win extended the Pharaohs' unbeaten streak to 19 games.
They achieved a remarkable run in the 2010 finals, beating four World Cup finalists Nigeria, Cameroon, Algeria and Ghana.
