[OFF THE POST] Players aren't supposed to scalp tickets they're given by their teams for friends and family, yet 18-year-old Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker tried to sell his allotment of five English League Carling Cup final tickets on his Facebook page at $300 apiece. The not so difficult to make discovery prompted Aston Villa to take his tickets back and ban him from attending the game at Wembley against Manchester United Feb. 28.

Baker received loads of offers, and turned down one at $150 per ticket.

"The club is saddened that Nathan has been so foolish," a club spokesman told the Daily Mail. "All of the players were made aware that tickets for the Carling Cup final are available for their own use only and, following this incident, the message has been repeated to them."

Baker is currently playing on loan at fourth-division Lincoln City, whose coaching staff has hailed him as "the new John Terry."
