Arsenal wants Barcelona to stop its campaign to convince Gunner star Cesc Fabregas to move back to Spain, where he began his career with Barcelona.
Barcelona is ready to offer more than $50 million for the 22-year-old Spaniard, and Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, the former MLS deputy commissioner, has already written to Barcelona, asking it stop making statements about Fabregas and supporting the Spanish media campaign to bring the Arsenal captain back to Spain.
Fabregas joined Arsenal at 16 from Barcelona and has four years left on his latest contract, though Arsenal is believed to be prepared to offer him $10 million to stay with the Gunners.
