[AMERICANS ABROAD] Midfielder Jose Francisco Torres returned to action with Pachuca on Sunday and came on after halftime to score on a free kick the winning goal in a spectacular 5-3 win at Puebla.

Torres injured his right hamstring playing for Pachuca against Queretaro but played the next week against Atlanta before having to come off in the second half of the 5-1 Pachuca win.

The injury came at an inopportune time for Torres, who was playing well for Pachuca since regaining a spot in the starting lineup.

He impressed in his most recent outing for the USA, the final World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica, but is still on the bubble for the World Cup team.

His return means he could be called up for the midweek friendly against El Salvador on Feb. 24 in Tampa.

Torres scored and made it 4-3 for Pachuca with a free kick in the 84th minute.
