[AMERICANS ABROAD] Herculez Gomez scored in the 87th minute to give Puebla a 3-3 tie with Jaguares Sunday in Mexico and extend his scoring streak to three games. The three other Americans in action in Mexico's First Division all dropped 3-0 decisions.
Gomez made his third start for Puebla, which is fifth in the six-team Group 2. Following the game, Puebla coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola quit.
Marco Antonio Vidal played the entire game for Indios in their 3-0 loss at Toluca.
On Saturday, Juan Francisco Torres and Edgar Castillo were both on the losing end of 3-0 decisions at home.
Torres' Pachuca lost to UNAM, while Castillo's Tigres fell to Morelia.
