[WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN] Every World Cup finalist except North Korea and Chile will play in midweek action. Six games will be televised, beginning with Tuesday's Brazil-Ireland game and ending with Wednesday night's Mexico-New Zealand game at the Rose Bowl.
The Tuesday-Wednesday date is FIFA's final international fixture date before World Cup rosters are selected. If teams play other games before then, players don't need to be released by their foreign clubs.
Chile had planned to host both Costa Rica and North Korea on the same evening at Santiago's National Stadium but the games were called off because of the earthquake that struck the country on Saturday.
