[ALGARVE CUP] The USA won the Algarve Cup for the sixth time in the last eight years when it beat Germany, 3-2, in Wednesday's final.
Lauren Cheney had what proved to be the deciding goal with her fourth goal of the tournament in the 69th minute.
The Americans lead 2-0 and 3-1 but Germany twice cut the deficit to one on goals by Inka Grings -- her sixth and seventh of the tournament.
Next up for the Americans: the opening of WPS training camps and then matches against Mexico March 28 and 31.
