Nani admits he’s finally grown up, and that’s good news for Manchester United, for which he has been playing very well in recent months. The Portuguesewinger is finally living up to the expectations placed in him when he joined United from Sporting Lisbon for almost $26 million in 2007.

Only two months ago, Nani languished on the Unitedbench after criticizing Manager Alex Ferguson and he appeared to be finished at Old Trafford. “At the moment, I’m feeling in good form and I want tocontribute to the team winning trophies,” Nani said. “Getting to the Champions League final and winning it is one of the aims. I work hard every day and I try and be a better player than Iwas a couple of months ago.”

Nani admitted he did a lot of “growing up” while on the bench. “This club is good at making players grow up and learn to be a man, to be aplayer,” he added. “That happened to me a couple of months ago and now I’m feeling very happy and strong.”
