Players from Italian amateur club San Luca wore black armbands during a game in mourning at the death of a Calabrian Mafia boss Antonio Pelle. The 16 players who made the gesture have been suspended for two games and fined, while the eight-tier team was docked points. The Italian soccer federation said the players had worn the armbands because Pelle was related to a member of the club.
