With another MLS season about to start and FC Dallas possessing one of most exciting teams in the league, you'd expect there's be lots of interest ahead of the Hoops' opener against Texas rival Houston.

But Peter Welpton says the level of awareness is at an all-time low. He couldn't name anyone on his over-30 team who was going to the opener at Pizza Hut Park. They still followed what was going on the soccer world: the latest Champions League news, Lionel Messi's hat trick, Clint Dempsey's goal, just not FCD news.

What Dallas soccer did interest Welpton's teammates at Pizza Hut Park was the opening of the Dallas Cup this weekend.
