[CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] In a competition that has struggled to win fan support, Wednesday's crowd of 45,000 for UNAM's 1-0 victory over Cruz Azul in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League semifinals ranks as the second largest crowd in its two-year history.

The largest crowd was 55,571 for the Montreal Impact's quarterfinal game against Santos of Mexico last year.

The Mexico City derby was decided on Pablo Barrera's goal in the 24th minute.

Cruz Azul will host Pumas Tuesday in the second leg.
