[MLS]Chivas USA picked up its second Costa Rican central defender in the last month when it acquired  Dario Delgado on loan from Puntarenas.

Delgado, 24, has played his entire professional career for Puntarenas and made his debut with the Costa Rica national team in May 2009.

Delgado's MLS rights were picked up in a trade with Real Salt Lake for a conditional pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.

Earlier this year, Chivas signed Michael Umana from Mia Liberia.

Costa Rican defenders are certainly in vogue in MLS.

New York picked Roy Millerthis winter, while Leo Gonzalez signed Seattle last season. Both are solid contributors at left back.

Right backDavid Myrie, on the other hand, was a bust. He never played for Chicago, and Philadelphia cut him after its opening game loss at Seattle.
