[MLS NUMBERS] Edson Buddle has scored all seven of the Los Angeles Galaxy's goals in a 4-0-0 start to the season. Here are some stats to put the feat in perspective. ...

1. Buddle is the first player to score his team's first seven goals of the season.

0.96. Stern John holds the MLS record for goals per game in a season with 26 goals in 27 games for Columbus in 1998. In this young season, Buddle is averaging 1.75 goals per game.

7. Buddle’s goals in four games represent the fastest start in MLS history, exceeding the Carlos Ruiz’s six goals – which were also the Galaxy’s first six of the season -- in four games in 2002.

8. Buddle needs to score in each of the next four games to break the record for most goals in consecutive games. Three players scored in seven straight games: Raul Diaz Arce (D.C. United, 1997), Wolde Harris (Colorado, 2000) and Ruiz (Dallas, 2006).
