Argentine-born striker Sergio Galvan Rey set a Colombian league record of 218 goals with the equalizer for America in a 2-2 draw with Atletico Junior, overtaking former Colombia forward Ivan Valenciano. Galvan Rey, who managed only nine goals with the MetroStars during two seasons (2004-05), has played in Colombia since 1994.
The 36-year-old obtained Colombian citizenship in 2003. He scored a club record 171 goals for Once Caldas and played for Atletico Nacional before joining America this year.
