[MLS] Three days after getting his first MLS start, academy product Tristan Bowen scored to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-0 victory over Boca Juniors in an exhibition match Sunday night at the Home Depot Center.

Bowen scored in the 83rd minute, taking a pass from rookie Michael Stephens.

Goalie Josh Saunders made 13 saves to hold off Boca, which was without Argentine forward Martin Palermo, Paraguayan midfielder Claudio Morel and Chilean defender Gary Medel, who are training with their respective national teams for the World Cup.

Boca travels to the Northwest to face the Seattle Sounders on Wednesday night and Portland Timbers on Saturday.
