[DATEBOOK] The Silverdome, the first domed stadium to host World Cup matches, will host an international on Aug. 6 when Italy's AC Milan plays Greek club Panathinaikos.
The game in Pontiac, Mich., will mark Milan's second trip of the year to North America. It recently concluded a three-game tour where it played D.C. United, the Chicago Fire and Montreal Impact.
The Silverdome, no longer used for major sports events, was recently sold.
It will have grass installed for the Milan-Pana game -- just as it did in 1994 when it hosted, among other matches, the USA-Switzerland game.
