It wasn't quite like the French, who boycotted practice on Sunday to protest the dismissal of star Nicolas Anelka, but England players showed their displeasure with the state of affairs within the England camp by drawing up a list of demands.
Nine players, including John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and David James, went to Coach Fabio Capello, who refused to discuss the demands. The on-field demands included dropping Emile Heskey and replacing him with Joe Cole in a revamped formation.
"We have a responsibility to ourselves, to the manager and everyone else to voice that opinion," said defender (and ex-captain) John Terry. “We hope he takes it on board but it’s him who has the final decision.”
