[AMERICANS ABROAD] Clarence Goodson, a reserve defender on the U.S. World Cup team, scored for Norwegian Tippeligaen club IK Start with a header off a corner kick in its 2-1 victory at last-place Sandefjord on Saturday.
Goodson, who was playing his third match since returning from South Africa, tied the score in the 33rd minute.
The former Maryland star, who will be a free agent at the end of the year, is rumored to leaving Start this summer.
Fellow American Hunter Freeman also started for IK Start, which is eighth in the Tippeligaen after 16 games.
