[OFF THE POST] Nels van Toor, a 44-year-old worker for Dutch railway company Nedtrain in the city of Haarlem, was fired from his job for sawing a coworker's vuvuzela in half after being terrorized by the noise instrument.
It was bad enough that coworkers brought vuvuzelas to work and blew them constantly during the Dutch games.
Bu when they attached a vuvuzela to a compressed air pump, producing a constant, ear-splitting noise, it was too much for van Toor who grabbed it and sawed it in half.
"It made the most unbelievable noise," van Toor said. "It is vuvuzela terror."
