Vardar's U-17/18s triumph

[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY] Detroit club Vardar won the Development Academy under-17/18 championship Saturday night with a 3-1 win over Crossfire Premier.

Two second-half goals by Derek Schrauben helped Vardar come from behind to defeat Crossfire Premier from Washington state.

Canadian U-20 Liam Kelly lit up the scoreboard in the 12th minute for Crossfire, but Vardar recovered and tied it in the 29th before winning with Schrauben’s heroics late in the game.
