Double wins for Eclipse Select and Sting

[NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS] Eclipse Select and Sting were the big girls winners with two victories apiece on Day 1 of the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Overland Park, Kan.

Eclipse Select knocked off the defending champion FC Bucks Vipers, 2-0, in the U-19 age group, while its U-18s, the defending champions in their age group, beat AFC Lightning White, 3-0.

Sting opened with 7-0 and 1-0 wins in the U-15 and U-14 divisions, respectively.

Sting's Madelyn Crabtree had three goals in the U-15s' win over Beadling.

The day's top scorer was Mc Kenzie Meehan with four goals for Scorpions Elite in their 6-3 win over the Dallas Texans Red.
