France coach Laurent Blanc suspended all 23 World Cup players for the Bleus' Aug. 11 friendly at Norway as punishment for their mutiny at the World Cup. Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk rewarded his players by resting all but one player for the Netherlands' game at Euro 2010 co-host Ukraine on the same day.

Reserve goalkeeper Michel Vorm is the only World Cup player Van Marwijk picked. “I don’t want to use them (World Cup squad members) unnecessarily at this stage,” the Oranje coach said. “Our opponent knows we’ll come with a young group but for me i t’s an opportunity to keep an eye on these young players before the upcoming Euro qualifiers."

Six uncapped players were called up: Roy Beerens, Jeffrey Bruma, Siem de Jong, Erik Pieters, Ronnie Stam and Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
