Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder, Anderson, escaped from a horrific car crash early Sunday morning in Portugal with only minor injuries. He was pulled unconscious from the wreckage of the $200,000 Audi R8 shortly before it burst into flames.
Two friends, one of whom was driving the car, were also treated at a hospital for a concussion, whiplash and shock but released. The car went off the road, hit a wall and flew 100 feet in the air before landing in a field. The accident took place at 7 a.m. after they left the Sardinha Biba nightclub in Braga.
Anderson has been sidelined and undergoing rehabilitation since suffering a knee injury in February.
