Alvaro Fernandez demonstrated why the Sounders FC have made the right move in bringing him in and moving Ljungberg out. Apart from coming off the bench and quickly scoring the critical tying goal with a perfectly placed header, Fernandez demonstrated how to remain cool in the heat of being fouled. Instead of enganging in the Ljungberg rant and standing around complaining, Fernandez backed off and let the ref do his work, then chased down the ball when the ref didn't do his job. As a Sounders season ticketholder, I'm very excited about the possibilities with the speed and understanding of Fernandez, Gonzalez, Montero, Zakuani, Nyassi, and Alonso. I'm hopeful that Nkufo's experience will help drive a very fast lineup to big successes.
